The Art of Writing God Stories - Workshop

This is a season when God is particularly encouraging us to share our God stories—our testimonies—with one another. United Adoration and Heartland Writers Circle welcome you to a workshop where you can learn how to write God stories in a way that glorifies God and benefits others while expressing your personal, creative style. The Art of Writing God Stories will be held in the foyer of Heartland Church on Saturday, October 23 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., and you are invited!

God stories are short, creatively written, thematic testimonies of God encounters or interventions into a person’s life. They consist of three components:

1. The Problem
2. The God Encounter or Intervention
3. The Result or Fruit.

Come with a God story in mind to write!

The workshop will include:

• Teaching/training on “How to Write a God Story” and “How to Conduct an Interview for Writing Someone’s God Story”
• Practicum including interviewing, writing, and participating in feedback circles
• Presenting our stories

Lunch, snacks, and beverages will be provided. The cost is $18. Register by October 16. Bring your laptop or a notebook and pen.
